I had foot fusion surgery march 29,2016. They took stitches out May 2. My incision split open next day and remained opened. It formed a huge scab but after doing some research on wounds I read first thing wound specialist would do is remove the scab (ouch) so underlying tissue would heal. Ortho dr said to keep it dry??? I started using wound gel and the patches on July 21,2016. By August 23rd, it was 100% better. It was amazing!!!! I wish I could add photos as I kept a progress report. I found keeping the patch on 5 days without removing it was the best. When I first started I changed the patch too often as I didn't know it would work better undisturbed. I ended up cutting them as well. Worked great for me!
