Naprogesic treats the cause of period pain by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins

Naprogesic helps to ease the the symptoms of period pain and abnormally heavy periods including:

The strength and the length of the symptoms experienced varies but it tends to be the strongest the day your period starts.

The cause of period pain is tiny molecules called prostaglandines.  These molecules are released during a period to help the muscles in the uterus to contract so it can expel its lining.  The strengh of the contractions depends on the amount of prostaglandins the body produces, so if the body produces a lot of the molecules (or you are sensitive to them), they will cause pain.  The active ingredient (Naproxen) in Naprogesic Tablets is a non-steriodal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) and it also works at decreasing the amount of prostaglandins produced, reducing the contraction strength, and relieving the pain.

Naprogesic Dosage: Take TWO tablets at the first sign of period pain or menstrual bleeding with food and a glass of water.  Followed by ONE tablet every SIX to EIGHT hours as required.

Naprogesic Ingredients: Each tablet contains:

• Naproxen Sodium - 275mg
• Microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, purified talc, magnesium stearate and opadry (blue)

Naprogesic Precautions: Keep Naprogesic out of reach of children. Do NOT take Naprogesic if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients listed. Do NOT exceed the recommended dose.  Do NOT exceed the maximum dose of 5 tablets in 24 hours.  Do NOT take Naprogesic for more than a few days at a time, unless directed by a doctor.

  • A stomach ulcer or other stomach disorder
  • Asthma
  • Liver disease
  • Kidney disease
  • Imparied kidney funtion
  • Heart failure

• Are currently taking any other medication
• Are allergic to naproxen, aspirin or other NSAID's
• Are breast feeding
