Bion Tears Lubricant Eye Drops are an advanced tear substitute containing bicarbonate for a protective effect on surface cells. It has been specifically formulated to provide soothing relief from moderate to severe dry eye conditions, including symptoms associated with surgical procedures such as Lasik. Available in a pack containing 28 individual use containers, Bion Tears is preservative free and will not damage contact lenses.
Bion Tears Lubricant Eye Drops Directions: Make sure container is intact before use. Completely twist off tab. (Do not pull off), Instil 1-2 drops to the affected eye(s) as needed.

- Hypromellose - 3mg/ml

Bion Tears Lubricant Eye Drops Precautions: Bion Tears are for opthalmic use only. If you experience eye pain, changes in vision, continued redness or irritation of the eye, or if the condition worsens or persists for more than 72 hours, discontinue use and consult your doctor for advice. If the solution becomes cloudy or if you notice a colour change in Bion Tears - do not use. The contents of each individual container are sterile until opened. To avoid contamination and prevent eye infections, do not touch the tip of container to eye or any other surface. Keep Bion Tears Lubricant Eye Drops out of reach of children. Do NOT use Bion Tears Lubricant Eye Drops if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients listed, (extremely rare). Moist Eyes
Bion artificial tears are excellent for severely dry eyes. I've been using them for 23 years, since an injury left my eyes severely dry, and they continue to provide excellent relief. I like that they have no preservatives.

Even though they do not state that they help hay-fever swollen eyes, they provided immediate relief to swollen itchy eyes.

Worked in a pinch since product was on back order in the USA
There was a minor difference in the inactive ingrediants between what is marketed in NZ and what is marketed in the USA. All in all I thought the NZ Bion Tears worked fairly well. If I needed to order again, I would order from here since apparently the packaging was in order to get the shipment through Customs in a week.
